Environmental Health Assistant
Training Programme
The Environmental Health Assistant (EHA) training is a two (2) year programme. The cadre constitutes the lowest cadre of the Environmental Health Profession i.e. next to the Technician and Technologist.
Entry requirement
Four (4) passes in GCE, WASSCE, NECO, Grade 11 or NABTEB. One of the passes must be in a Science Subject( Biology, Chemistry, Health Science, Nutrition, Physics, general Science or Integrated Science) and the other three (3) passes could be in any other subjects. Grades must be obtained in one sitting.
Environmental Health Technicians
Structure of the Programme
The Diploma course for EVT is structured to last for three (3) years (six semesters). This incorporates two to four months of supervised field practical skills.

Holders of EHA, DSA, SCHE/CHEW/JCHEW, Pharmacy Assistant and Medical Laboratory Assistant with two years post qualifications, experience can be admitted at 200 level of Environmental Health Technician Diploma provided they fulfill the basis conditions.
